NOTA is also known as
"Against all"
or a "Scratch Vote"
NOTA is a ballot option
in some jurisdictions or organizations,
designed to allow the voter
to indicate disapproval
of all of the candidates
in a voting system.

The Election Commission of India told the Supreme Court in 2009 that it wished to offer the voter a None of the above button on voting machines; the government, however, has generally opposed this option.
A PIL was filed for NOTA, by an NGO called People's Union for Civil Liberties.
Heralded as the Right to reject candidates, it became an agenda item of the anti-corruption political party, Aam Aadmi Party.
On 27th September 2013,
The Supreme Court of India
Passed The Judgement on the PIL,
Directing the Election Commission
to provide a button on voting machines,
giving the Citizens of India
The Right To Reject
All Candidates In Elections.
